How can I improve my overall flexibility?

I've always been active since I was a little kid and remain so even up until now (17 years old). Still though, I am not very felxible. That being said, I really can't complain because I do not stretch because it is not a habit that I can get in to. When I do try I just get annoyed because I can't even reach my toes without bending my knees. Any other alternate methods to improve not only the flexibility to be able to reach my toes, but in all parts of my body? Help! Thanks.

  1. yoga or pilates. it's quite impressive and you don't even need to do it all the time.

  3. just keep stretching especially after each workout , it takes time but u will reach a bit further evrytime and before u know it u will reach ur toes. gudluck

  5. I've been a ballet dancer all my life and it took me a few years to be flexible. What really helped me is to stop eating red meat or eating it maybe once a week. It also helps that when you strech inhale deep and when you exhale you push yourself a little further. Good breathing helped me out a lot. Improving flexibility hurts but be persistent and you will succeed!!!
  6. Try Yoga or Pilates. They really help. I havent been able to reach my toes since I was younger but by doing Pilates/Yoga Im getting closer all the time.
