How to develop flexibility for martial arts?

I'm built like a bull, and about as flexible as one. I don't like stretching, what is the minimum I need to do to make gains in flexibility? Ummm, yeah, I KNOW I need to stretch. What is the MINIMUM stretching I need to do to see results?

  1. STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH!!!!
  2. Sprint a lot if you're going for flexibility in your legs. you still need to do some minimum stretching to avoid muscle strain, but sprints will give you the speed and flexibility you need for martial arts.
  3. stretch every day. that's the only way to become flexible. when you wake up, before and after every workout, and before you go to bed.
  4. Stretch.... in your sleep..... it's an acquired skill. But really. Stretch.
  5. Theres no way around stretching. The bigger u get the less flexible u get... FACT. Even if u dont stretch for flexibility stretch to prevent injury. Relax while u stretch.
  6. Yoga. E
  7. If you are bulky then you need to shed some of your weight with the help of Yoga,Meditation,Swimming and Sprints in the morning whatever suits your lifestyle. After shedding some of your weight , I recommend to join good and well known martial arts class where you can get proper training under the expert martial artist. This is the only way you can motivate yourself to perform your best. Even you don't like stretching, later on it will become habitual for you when you start taking classes regularly with other classmates.
