How long does it take tax payments to be cashed?

I a little tight on money for the next couple days, and get money on Monday. Will the tax payments, to both federal and state be cashed quickly? I sent them out on Tuesday night from Southern California.

1. My last state estimated payment (MA) took 1 business day to clear. My Fed payment took 4. They both seem to be depositing checks quicker than they have in the past. Better to file without paying and pay a couple days late than bounce a check to the tax authorities. Too late to change that now though - I'd scramble to make sure they're covered.
