How long am I entitled to receive unemployment payments in Australia?

I tried to search on Centrelink web site but couldn't find this info. So,how does it work with these payments? How many months can I receive this type of payment and how much can I expect to get? Thank you.

1. If your like any other Australian you can dole bludge for the rest of your life if you want to . You get about $450-480 a fortnight ???????
2. Technically you could be on unemployment benefits until you reached then pension age. But once you have been unemployed for a certain amount of time, it used to be 12 months, but it is set to be even sooner, you may be filtered into work for the dole programs and those sort of things. Hopefully you don't want to be a "bludger" for any long term period of time. It may seem like easy money, but its no good for self esteem or a contented life.
