ok so im tryin to build muscle and increase flexibility.. can i do both of these and get results? i start with stretching.. pretty intense stuff.. then i run 2-3 miles take a ten minute rest and lift for an hour alternating between leg workouts and arm workouts each day, i also stretch throughout the day.... im tryin to gain muscle mass and definition.. could this be sorta slowed due to my stretching? of course the stretching is affected since my mucsles are tight after lifting.. i guess i just need to know if i can improve muscle definition and flexibility at the same time.. thanks any suggestions for good yoga excercises?
How much Penis size necessary? I am 23 years old virgin and My penis is small. Its just nearly 5 inches when erect and very tiny when not. Because of this I have extreme shame in even standing in my undies in front of anyone. I have heard that it is enough to satisfy but will the girls get really annoyed if they see this. I have a good muscle definition and flexibility which I developed to avoid the short coming, I am sure I can satisfy but will the girl freak out right after seeing this?? Please help. Thanks for the answers. The problem is even if I try with some girls, according to the custom and family tradition where I come from, I will mostly end up in an arranged marriage. And I fear that this might create a problem.

Is the definition of the term 'classic rock' an ever-changing one? The general definition of "classic rock" seems to be largely guitar-driven music from the 60s and 70s. As generations come and go, and different genres of music with them, that term seems to require a need for flexibility. What is classic rock to a 30-something (like myself) isn't necessarily the same as what it would be for a 40-something or a teenager. Your thoughts?
Do you have alternative or multiple definitions of your Self? Words in dictionaries often have more than one single definition. Typically, any word may have different uses or where its meaning changes according to different contexts. How do you define yourself? Is your definition fluid or does it remain the same? I'm wondering if others have intimate definitions of themselves that allow room for flexibility or if their definition, however you define the definition, remains constant no matter what situation you're in or who you're with?
Is it possible to have personal definition within an established religion's framework? It is a growing trend for there to be a certain syncretization and flexibility of religious beliefs, and while this has always been an aspect of religion, it is more likely to take a far more personal turn these days. In effect, people are much more likely to interpret for themselves the tenets of their religion, and rely less on established interpretations....most of which are centuries old. It seems that there is much more individuality thus expressed in religion, but how does this effect the religious experience, and how does it influence the experience of others, both present and future? The idea that God "is the same, yesterday, today, and forever" does not take into account that people are not the same, neither in regards to spiritual needs, nor in relation to the cultural framework of religion within which they operate. To many conservative religious persons, the very idea of personal religious definition is anathema. Why should it be so, however? Is religion capable of responding to the individuality of its adherents(after all, religion is nothing more than the exercise of faith of a group of people), or is this incompatible with the very essence of religion? Does the religion define the person, or does the person define the religion? What are your thoughts, and what is your religion/belief system, if any? Errata: In the above, my spelling of *effect* should have, in this instance, been correctly spelled as *affect*. My apologies. To clarify my error, in the first sentence of the second paragraph.
Is God's definition of dynamism different from man's? It seems the most forceful, most opinionated, most dogmatic and stubborn people receive the most respect. Like I went on a blind date with this guy because I felt like my life was meaningless, boring and had no flavor and was curious to know what was out there... and he was 11 years older than me an desparately looking for a wife... we went out, had a great time... then he starts talking about us being in a relationship... and I withdrew from him by delaying my replies to his e-mails and not returning calls... (I am not shy with people talking to new people but am slow to give my heart to others) And he accuses me of "dating guys for fun." and tried to placate me as some kind of idiot or moron because I went on dates with guys who were looking for relationships when I had no intention of getting married. I really don't think it's as obvious or as absolute or as matter of fact as that... Jesus said "I came so that those who are blind may see and those who see may become blind." Someone who is extremely strong in their opinon... is someone who needs to become blind... because their heart and soul lacks flexibility, mobility and acceptance to new doctrine and ideals. Would you agree?

Incompatible function pointers in C? I'm writing a program that uses a bunch of function pointers in it's interface for flexibility. I have the function pointer type definition receive 6 arguments, but many of the functions pointed to have fewer than that. The compiler complains, but the program appears to work fine: excess arguments just are not passed. (I think they are put on the stack, then removed by the caller afterward.) I was just wondering if there is some sort of problem with doing this, and if I should fix it. I know that I should make it correct. I just was wondering if there is some sort of issue with being lazy and not converting all the functions to the right type. I don't think it's bad style not to have a bunch of useless arguments in the function definition, so it shouldn't matter either way.

Clinton Proposes Big Grants for Family Leave, what are the incentives of starting a business? Clinton Proposes Big Grants for Family Leave Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday proposed giving $1 billion in grants to states that enact paid family leave laws and said that she would support requiring employers to provide workers seven days’ annual paid sick leave. Mrs. Clinton, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, also called for expanding the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act, which protects the jobs of workers who take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave. The law covers businesses with more than 50 workers. Mrs. Clinton would lower that to 25, covering an additional 13 million people, her campaign said. The ideas are the latest parts of Mrs. Clinton’s strategy to cement women as the cornerstone of her support, but her call for an expanded federal role in labor activities drew fire from business leaders, who called her proposals onerous. Business representatives said state laws on paid leaves were often so broad that they risked abuses like demands for paid leaves for minor health concerns. In addition, the federal law on unpaid leave continues to concern some critics because some workers take leaves with short notice or are difficult to replace. “Extending the unpaid leave act to smaller employers will just create more problems, especially when the definition of a ‘serious health condition’ is so extremely broad,” said Randy Y. Johnson, vice president for labor issues at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Clinton’s advisers said they would work with Congress and industry to expand the federal law with an eye toward flexibility and supporting the needs of small businesses. They said Mrs. Clinton would also support guaranteed paid sick days through new legislation, a program that has had Democratic support on Capitol Hill for some time. Mrs. Clinton also proposed tens of millions of additional dollars for block grants for child care programs. Together, the new proposals that Mrs. Clinton announced yesterday in New Hampshire would cost $1.75 billion a year. The campaign said the government would cover the costs by establishing a single definition for a tax shelter that would ultimately yield more than $2 billion a year, according to a Congressional estimate that it cited. In her New Hampshire speech, excerpts show, Mrs. Clinton recalled her days as a mother and lawyer. She described a “gut wrenching” moment when she had to appear in court when her daughter, Chelsea, was sick. A family friend filled in for the baby sitter. It was the sort of personal anecdote that Mrs. Clinton is highlighting this week, a week that her campaign has devoted to appealing to working women and mothers.
A question for atheists and scientific truth, can truthful science really exist? Definition of Science: science is the methodology that mankind uses to explore and describe the universe and everything in it. This methodolgy is based on two assumptions: 1) scientists can accurately observe nature (the observable axiom) and 2) everything that happens, will happen, or has happened can be explained without invoking the supernatural (the naturalistic axiom). In other words, science assumes that God does not exist and then sets about to prove this assumption. Take evolution for example. Shortly after Darwin, science assumed that evolution happened and then set about to prove how it happened. The naturalistic axiom does no allow science to ask if it can happen or why did it happen? Science cannot ask these questions because science assumes that God does not exist. Thus, science is limited. Definition of Intelligent Design: intelligent design is a methodology that some scientists use to explore and describe the universe and everything in it. This methodolgy is based on one assumption: 1) scientists can accurately observe nature (the observable axiom). Because intelligent design does not assume that God does not exists, it is not science. Intelligent design has more flexibility than science in that it can ask questions that science cannot. Take the origin of life for example. Intelligent design can look at science’s inability to explain this event as evidence supporting the existence of a designer. Scientists who use the intelligent design methodology have and continue to identify problems associated with the origin of life that evolution cannot explain and will likely never explain. So which is better science or intelligent design? This depends on who is deciding. Many scientists are perfectly happy assuming that God does not exists, so they prefer science to intelligent design. These scientists are not upset by the fact that college textbooks say that life began in the primordial soup as a self replicating RNA molecule when the primary scientific literature (articles in journals like Science, Nature, and the Journal of Molecular Evolution) contradict this scenario. These scientists are not interested in the truth. Others do care abot the truth. It concerns these scientists that college and high school biology text books are not allowed to present the many unsolved issues with the origin of life that are so plentiful in the primary scientific literature. Most of these scientists do not voice their concerns because if they do, evolutionists will label them creationists. They will then be denied tenure, their papers will not get published, they might be fired and their research grants will probably be denied. So it seems it is won by intimidation by the non god scientists who are able to hide the truth.

I have a headache, can someone sort this out for me? lol? Okay I'm versed in training but I'm lost with time management. I need to figure out how to fit all this into a training schedule. I need to work every day, and raise two kids and have a part time job on top of the full time job three days a week, plus three nights a week we have a 1-2 hour committment with the kids. So, I have different goals (different reasons for needing each aspect in my routine), and they are this... I need to know how many days a week to do each to achieve the results from them Yoga (I need to do an hour a day every day, this is not for fitness but for anxiety and OCD) Pilates (how long and how many days a week?) - I want this to increase flexibility and core stability as they are very weak from having children and not training consistently Cardio (I do it first thing in the morning for fat burning and endurance training) - I alternate plyometrics and tae bo Weight training (For strength and muscle definition) HIIT (for fat burning and endurance training) I can do cardio every morning and yoga is every night before I go to bed. What I need to sort out is how many days a week for pilates, for how long, same with weight training and HIIT. With HIIT I'm guessing two days a week is enough, but would like opinions. Thanks. My goals are to increase muscle tone, endurance, flexibility, hence the different aspects

should I leave my new IT job? I'm already through my second week of a new part time job I got for $10/hour (not the best and i've gotten paid way more before but better than nothing since im a full time computer science college student). At first the job seemed great. The flexibility is unreal I can go in between classes and after, take a day off if I have to study ect. However I'm a trained MCSE and CCNA and I'm trying to build more experience. It's already been 2 weeks and I still have no real definition of what I was hired for. I go into work and half the time I can't find my boss so I sit and do homework or leave if I find out he left. When I do find him, he constantly has phone calls and e-mail checks so I sit and wait a lot of the time ( I don't blame him since he's only a year new as well and has to do 5 jobs at once). Our "office"/cubicle is a storage room and I have to step over boxes, piles of papers and PC parts and CD's are everywhere and nothing is organized. It looks like an animal got loose in there but no one ever organizes stuff and i'm too new to know where anything goes, it'll take months to straighten that stuff out because there's no where for anything to go but the floor it's so packed. Being introduced to that environment raises my stress level since I don't have a desk or anything, just a chair. The network doesn't make sense, we have 3 class B subnets of 255.255.255.252 all static addresses (no dhcp is allowed for a reason I'm not sure of) but there's no inventory or documentation so I don't even know what systems are ours. Apparently we just have between 80-200 since no inventory has been done in a while and there's like 30 ip address in those subnets that aren't our machines! My supervisor said there's no organization structure or sense to it, just deal. It's fragmented. I said I don't mind doing an inventory but I don't even know where to begin so I installed and tested Spiceworks for a week(free inventory software) and ran great and told me what was what and how things were mapped ect., they told me to take it off and "we can't have that"! But there is no other alternative since there is no list's or documentation, or any sort of organization. there never was, you have to start somewhere. There is no help desk so people with probelms have to physically hunt us down and find us, spiceworks would have at least introduced some organization somewhat. I explained how spiceworks works to my boss and he just nodded and got a phone call and walked away. I never feel like i'm being listened too or heard and my supervisor said the manager above him isn't flexible and says things have to stay the way they are no if's and but's. I'm still new and want to give this a chance and would feel great if I were the one to put organization into this network and such but im not even being heard. half the time im not doing anything because I don't know what I should do or where to begin and my boss if i can find him well just say "clone this" or "install this" . when being interviewed (wasn't really an interview, he said your hired, your qualifications are great) he admitted they fired the last guy because he had no idea what he was doing and he's the one who designed the network. I'm going to stay for the near term because there are no other openings and im lucky to have some sort of job. But the whole point of applying for a job while in college was to build a skill set and experience. At first I thought it was great, that I could start somewhere and re-organize the network (they are migrating soon) However if they won't let me do anything or hear me out on anything (no one else there is certified or knows what the hell they are doing) then how can I build any sort of skill set or experience. I guess I just have to shut up and come in and ask what there is to do or just do what i'm told. Sorry i'm just frustrated.
Suggestions for Basic Parkour Training? Hello Everyone, This should be a interesting little challenge. I'm 14 years old and I never really fit into any select sport until I found parkour. My gym teacher explained the basics to me, but there is so much more I want to learn. First of all, I would like to learn some basic exercises that will expand my range of flexibility and strength. This is very important to me, I love this sport. Please give me any suggestions. I will start filming my basic Parkour runs soon, is there anything I can add to give my videos a little Pizaz? I would like a little more definition on some basic moves. Could anyone explain the proper technique for a back-flip? If you have ANY suggestions about Parkour, please leave some. I want to become great at this sport. What should I eat to improve my body? PLEASE LEAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS!!! Thank you so much!
How do atheists explain away the embarrassing logic error spawned by their "But who created God" argument? For "Who created God?" to make sense, an atheist must assume that God is somehow bounded by time, a dimension of the universe. Now I assume that most atheists willingly affirm Einstein's assertion that time is a property (a dimension) of the mass/energy universe and thereby time began when the universe began. So unless they are going to somehow introduce their own definition of God [and proceed to debunk that one instead of the theist's God], they must agree that God must precede the universe which God-defined-as-the-Creator created. But if God PRECEDES time and the universe, what is the basis for their assumption that God could have a beginning? After all, by asking "Who created God?", they are asserting without any evidence that there was a state/condition before the singularity under which God did NOT yet exist -- and then their proposed creator-of-God went ahead and brought God into being, and then, after that, God chose to create the universe (and time). So atheists are assuming within their question that at least "two moments" of time transpired before God created the universe and time itself. Right? So are not atheists stuck in a logical quandary either way? ********************************************************************************************************* ********************************************************************************************************* OPTIONAL EXPLANATION OF THE QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO NEED HELP WITH THE LOGIC: 1) If they insist on a time prior to God's creation and a time after God's creation PRIOR TO the beginning of the universe (and the start of time itself), they err by rejecting Einstein, Hawking, et al who demonstrated that time had a beginning with the beginning of the universe. So to ask their question they illogically must claim time existed before time itself began. [[By the way, theists are at least relying upon The Big Bang Theory in assuming that everything in the universe had a beginning. This is an assumption rooted in modern science: the creation of the universe (and time itself) began in the singularity of the Big Bang. Atheists on the other hand, are claiming (by means of their question) that God was created. Yet, what is the basis of their belief that ANYTHING can have a beginning prior to the beginning of time itself? What is their evidence that "beginnings" were possible prior to the origination of the time dimension?]] *OR* 2) They must admit that "Who created God?" is indeed a question that is guilty of the CATEGORY ERROR, as long claimed by theists who pointed out the logical fallacy of trying to put a CREATOR within the same time-bound reality as the CREATED UNIVERSE. SO WHICH LOGICAL FALLACY ARE ATHEISTS ADMITTING WHEN THEY ASK THE QUESTION "Who/what created God?" ************************************************************************************************************** Do atheists even understand that "Who created God?" is an illogical question only slightly more sophisticated than such timeless classics of moronic self-contradiction as "What happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object?" (The immense flexibility of language to describe entities which cannot co-exist in the same universe has often fooled the simple into presuming that they have discovered the profound.) ******************************************* Yes, the professor who first pointed out the CATEGORY FALLACY already overturned the "special pleading" claim long ago. I won't presume to possess that honor. Many have preceded me in that accomplishment. Of course, the SPECIAL PLEADING whine is a lot like the "No True Scotsman" argument: those who most often resort to it are those who don't even understand it. After all, observing the differences between apples and oranges is NOT SPECIAL PLEADING. (Again, I don't claim the honor of first making that obvious observation.) ****************************************** EXCELLENT SUMMARY OF THE STRAW MAN ARGUMENT: "If the religious continually state that everything needs a creator then, therefore, their creator needed a creator." 1) The logical have NEVER claimed that "everything needs a creation." (No doubt some simpleton has at some time. But if you are going to debate an issue, at the very least debate the position that is being proposed.) Classic apologetics has NEVER claimed that absolutely everything requires a creation. 2) "If the religious continually state that everything needs a creator ...." is a ridiculous distortion of the position. Millions of adherents to a variety of religions have no concept of God in their belief system and many of those have no concept or need of a CREATOR. So this statement in itself is absurd and illustrates the basic lack of understanding of the classic debate. (And for that matter, there are many religious people who are atheists. Check at a local synagogue.)
What guitar amp should I get? I'm a beginner-intermediate guitarist. The kind of music I mostly like to play is metal, hard rock, and classic rock. Mostly metal, especially 80's metal . While I would like an amp that is capable of emulating classic metal/hard rock sounds like those of Judas Priest or Iron Maiden or Scorpions, my favorite guitar tone of all time is that of early Pantera. Dimebag Darrell's chainsaw tone, with its ludicrously high gain yet clear tonal definition and screaming harmonics, is what I really want to get close to. However, I only have $250. I can't afford a Marshall or Randall stack. So my question is what amp I could buy (new or used, i don't really care) in that price range that could satisfy my needs, and offer at least a little flexibility in terms of tones. So what amps would you guys recommend? (Also, one amp i have been interested in is the Line 6 Spider iii. It sells used in my price range, and I like it's range of amp models and built in effects, not to mention the convienient song presets, however i have heard both very good and very bad things about this amp, i have never played on one, and don't know what to believe. Any comments from anybody familiar with this amp would be helpful) I know I am probably asking a lot for that price range, but that is the most I can afford. I don't need any fancy brand name or tube driven purity, just something that sounds good and gets the job done. This is a very important decision for me and I don't know much about this kind of thing. Any advice at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Tomboy girl become glamour girl? I have encounter many stories about how a"tomboy"middle-schooled girl transform herself to be the most stylist girl in the club. She is highly aggresive, not losing her tomboyish traits, she's not gracious, talk bratty and such attidude like that. But she's wear super-girly make up,wardrobe and she loves guy... When I was her classmate, I think she gonna become lesbian...but I'm TOTALLY WRONG!! Women are chameleon, don't they? They are totally flexible! But how about we switch the gender, have you ever heard that super femme teen become a masculine guy in the future, not gay? I think men is inflexible. Also what is the definition of muscle-queen? Plz DONT MISUDERSTOOD ME...I'm not try to straighthening all gay, I'm not interested since I also a gay guy. But I'm curious about sexsual flexibility. i freakin hate ur overused"get- a life"comment, if u're not agree wit me, why don't u throw urself with a cold water, don't start a useless comment like that

Could the Christian position on homosexual identification be a simple misunderstanding? There are many of us who after honestly recalling our past are certain we never had the slightest discussion with ourselves, or anyone else, as to what sexual preference we'd adopt in life. At some point it just seemed we knew without much doubt, what we "liked." Actually, we had difficulties even understanding how anyone could be attracted to the gender we weren't attracted to. But since many Christians on this forum are convinced that it is really a "choice," I am willing to concede that they, the Christians in question, knew that they COULD, unlike us, take either direction. Thus these good Christian people were able to make a "choice" - which by definition involves at least 2 options - and are somewhat justified, as we were, in assuming that everyone must think the same way. Isn't it possible then that this is a "good faith" misunderstanding? In other words, these Christians, who obviously could have chosen either hetero- or homo-sexuality, are unaware that many of us do not have this capacity, or flexibility if you will? Obviously I am not condemning Christians who are equipped with these options. Not having had it, I cannot judge others. ADOREHIM: I know the text well, and you are misreading what I ask. I didn't ask whether it was or not a sin. The question is whether the opinion of some Christians, that sexual identity is a choice, is true. My point is that at least some of us did not have any such choice. In my particular case, I am not, nor have I ever been, attracted to other men. I have always been attracted by women. So I was never in a position to make a "choice." Were you?" SHADOW: Yours is ONE of the Christian fallback positions when the "choice" as I've explained it gets to sticky to argue. As you state it, the "choice" would be to sin or not to sin - not a choice of identification as I posed it. You can take it to the bank that many Christians out there are convinced that sexual preference is a matter of choice in exactly the way I state it - in other words, you could go either way, but you "choose" gayness, or whatever. You are abusing the concept of "normal." I'm going to go out on a limb and state that by some measure, you don't conform to what's been determined as "normal" - in that measure. Are you exactly 5'9.25" and 173.33. pounds? Even if you were, is everyone you know who doesn't have those measures somehow "abnormal?" In other words, you are trying to make more out of the concept of "normal" than it can accommodate. In our species, as in many others, sexual preference is distributed in a fairly lop-sided way - against homosexuality. In ours it looks to be something like 1 in 10 individuals are not heterosexual. Thus it's more than a little absurd to think that variation is going to endanger our ability to reproduce? There's no evidence to suggest that this changes through time. Oh, and I hate to break the news to you, but heterosexual paring is not a requirement for reproduction. In fact, males aren't always needed for the process at all - even in sexual species.
Aren't video games like interactive books? You know like have any of you read harry potter? Then have you played the games? Have any of you played Fallout 3, Oblivion, Halo, etc.? Alot of games aren't in-sync with the details of the books and have some details that are missing but then in the end the person playing the game has flexibility to do as he wishes, as long as it is within the script. A book can only offer so many words to describe itself while video games offer the actual visuals. So video games are like interactive books that spawn more creativity. I mean if you play a game with magical kingdoms and you read a book of magical kingdoms isn't that the same thing? So why then are books better than video games? Screw the crap about video games making children stupid. Why is that? Because the children want a different approach to entertainment besides books? I am so sick of adults claiming children are stupid from video games when they never bother explaining anything about what makes children stupid. Doesn't the very definition of stupid constitute as not being able to calculate specific data to produce consistent knowledge? Where is the consistent knowledge? All I am hearing is that I am stupid.
If you ate meat but once a year could you still call yourself a vegetarian? Believe me, I believe in being as compassionate and mindful as possible. However there are circumstances out there in which it might be morally correct to make a compromise. I won't go into all of them know but just know they are out there. If a person 99.999% of the time does not eat meat but there is a place within his or her being for some flexibility should this person not be recognized as a vegetarian and accepted into the community? It seems some "vegetarians" want a more strict and IMO legalist definition of the term. But to me this can be alienating and is not in the true spirit of what it means to be vegetarain. I do also realize there is a point in which the term gets so watered down it ceases to mean anything. So I do understand the importance of having some criteria as well. Happy thinking : ) FYI I haven't eaten meat in years. The possible reasons one might eat meat that may be morally acceptable is for social reasons like not offending the host (supposedly this is a purported situation in which the Buddha would compromise on his vegetarianism), meat going to waste, and for possible health reasons. I know every once in a while I need to take a medication that has a gelatin based cap. Most of these situations do not increase the demand for animals products except the health exception which though I find not optimum I do find acceptable.
How does a skinny teenager with this lifestyle gain a muscular build? As said in the question, I'm a skinny teenager. Some time in May 2010, I convinced my mother to take me to the sports store to buy me some weights. Ever since I have put to use 25-pound dumbbells and an Iron Gym Xtreme workout bar. I don't live in a "family friendly" neighborhood, so I don't go out on runs, or for worse, hardly go outside at all. A run would have to be a couple of jogs back and forth in an open space in the house. I practice Tae Kwon Do exercises and I stretch for flexibility. My workout consists of: 5 pull-ups on each of the grips on the workout bar, which totals in 30 in all. You can look it up to see the ways you can do a pull-up on the Iron Gym Xtreme. I do all of them. After that, I do curls with the dumbbells until failure. Around the time I first got these items, I also convinced my mom to buy me protein shakes. She got me a big jar of 100% whey protein powder mix. I drank 1 to 2 tall cups a day until I ran out in June and she never got another jar since. My "diet" consists of processed chicken nuggets and Ore-Ida french fries, baked turkey wings, baked chicken, packaged chicken-flavored rice, and baked beans. Snacks include healthy oatmeal cookies, fruit-cups, oranges, and grapes. I have carry-out once every other week. It's either fried chicken and french fries, chicken lo-mein, fried shrimp, or a Subway $5 foot-long. My chest sticks out further, and my top 2 abs are almost in full definition. I have a 2 and a half pack right now. I have to tense my stomach to see a slight 4 pack. My arms, which I want to look good the most, are not defined at all. I'm around 5'8" and 138 pounds. My goal is just to get a defined 4 or 6 pack with defined arms. Do any of you with experience have any tips?
how can i make myself work out and stretch every day? k so im 5'4", 120 lbs(a lot of thats muscle mass btw), and 14 years old. my stomach is like seriously, the ONLY fat part of me! my thighs, butt(ok, my butt NEEDS weight), boobs(MAJOR DITTO), legs, everything else is fine. ive been wanting to do crunches, but either ill get lazy or do it for a few days then stop(im not a very patient person). so how can i make myself do crunches and stretch every day or night? and how many and what kind should i do? and how can i improve my strength like in general. i have REALLY strong arms for a girl(i dont do pushups, but get this: spinning a flag give me major biceps. haha). and im in colorguard, and we dance a lot, i wanna get more flexible and "loose" i guess when i dance, so anything to improve flexibility? thanks. heres a picture of my abs or whatever haha(ik, i have NO boobs. ha): http://www.flickr.com/photos/49507075@N05/4599946910/ nd my thighs looks kinda weird in that pic...there normally pretty skinny, ive got muscle there too. also, ik i cant increase boob size, but i heard you can at least add definition by adding chest muscle? what excersizes can you do for that? thanks! my mom actually told me my stomachs getting pudgy and its not normal for a teenager. but she was like, a total stick at my age so she wouldnt know. and i dont want washboard abs, i want a flat stomach. not just muscular.
BTEC Sport Homework? HELP!!!!!! It's due tomorrow D:? I am taking BTEC Sport, a few weeks ago I was set Unit 4 Task one. Problem is my teacher isn't great and hasn't given us any good resources so I'm stuck. I've to finish tonight, I've tried asking her for help but she says use the internet, but the Internet is very big and I don't know what to do :( Do you know any good sites that can help with my BTEC assignment. I need to know definitions of things such as reaction time, power, flexibility and examples of when there they're useful plus the advantages/disadvantages ( I don't even get it, surely there's no disadvantage to being flexible..) HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!! >.<
Where are all these man hating feminists then? I asked a question here about feminist history and was shocked how much anger and hate I got in response. My mother brought me up as a feminist and I believe it means women should have equal rights to men. I have just been looking at definitions of it and that is all I can find. I belong to feminist groups and know a lot of feminists but none who feel women are better than men or anyone who hates men. We protest and write to M.P's about a lot of old legislation which discriminate against women - paternity leave, flexibility for working mothers and make schools aware of some popular cultural problems which still remain which make women appear weak and indoctrinate children e.g fairy stories and Barbie dolls encouraging children to grow up believing that to be female is to be weak and superficial. I have never known any feminist to believe women are better than men - that it not feminism. It is female supremacy and as dangerous and stupid as white supremacy or Islamic extremists. I am disturbed to hear teenagers and women in their twenties say "I'm not a feminist..." when they do in fact think they should have as many choices as men and equal pay. Where does this negative man hating idea of feminism come from. How have I never met any people who believe this? Someone said "did I really think people would answer not knowing what they were talking about and someone else say that my ideas were great but feminists wouldn't like it! Someone give me details of an organisation which says all men are rapists or inferior and I will get protest against it. Good point CAustin. I think its a problem young women see feminism as a negative but if they hold the beliefs you describe without feeling the need to name them that is progress as you say. Lack of paternity leave discriminates against parents - my husband wants more time with his child, I want to work part time. If men have part time work available men and women could share children and work equally. When I am working in feminism I am talking for women, when I campaign for equal custody laws I am working for men, women and children.
If a conglomerate of suppliers produce subsystems which are to be "integrated", would "Saas integration" do? the job ? <<Saas Integration or Software as a Service Integration is computer software that is offered through a remote hosted deployment model that allows for the integration of information between systems. Terminology Saas Integration is computer software that connects software components delivered through software as a service (Saas) or hosted models to other applications. These applications can be themselves Saas applications or follow the typical deployment pattern behind a firewall. The software consists of a set of enabling services that allow multiple processes running on one or more machines to interact across the Internet and other networks. This technology evolved to provide for interoperability in support of the move to distribute functionality between managed and distributed architectures, which are used most often to support and simplify complex, distributed applications. It includes web servers, application servers, and similar tools that support application development and delivery. A concept refers to the ability of an organization to precisely define, easily integrate and effectively retrieve data for both internal applications and external communication. A business objective is focused on the creation of accurate, consistent and transparent information flows. Saas integration emphasizes flexibility, agility and responsiveness. It is concerned with how the capability is integrated into business applications as well as how it is passed along from one business process to another. Definition The Saas integration model and methods can be extended to include the integration of anything connected to the Internet - desktops, servers or data services. It is an extension of information integration beyond the traditional notion of firewall to include data, information and services that exist independently of one another, and can be regarded as either a capability or a method. Saas integration is where integration and information standards[1] are able to interact to enable the exchange of information across many types of systems. It is highly dependent upon architectural patterns such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)[2] methods such as web services and standards such as XML. Saas integration is not distributed computing or grid computing software where a program is broken into multiple parts and distributed across a network for processing. A key difference between Saas integration software and traditional integration is that it has the ability to express the integration points as services rather than end point destinations for data. Saas integration can be explained as either hosted middleware as a service or the ability to integrate Saas applications. Views of Saas integration There are two complimentary views of Saas integration. First is the capability of offering integration through a hosted outside of the firewall method which require process integration. This is the 'function of integration' itself which is expressed as middleware or information integration through a hosted model. The second is the process of integrating Saas capabilities into other applications. Saas Integration is not dependent on a specific technology strategy or related to an explicit definition. It arose to address circumstances where users within organizations and industries independently source, model, manage and access data. Purpose of Saas Integration Saas integration can be used for a number of purposes and scenarios, following are examples: To increase the flexibility in how an organization or a system can access or provide to different pieces of information To bridge disparate pieces of a process together To make available to an organization a Saas or hosted application through a common set of data interfaces. To reduce integration complexity and expense System Design Saas integration is closely related to the mathematical principals described in Complexity or Chaos Theory in that the more participants involved in the integration the further away from absolute control a system is under. The participants are then left to influence one another which are governed by information exchange standards and principles. Architecturally the principles can be based on patterns of Service Oriented Architecture - SOA and business management is based on a series of service level agreements either real or implied all of which are managed under a common governance framework. The management of Saas integration is enabled through orchestration of data and information flows within the system environment. This function typically takes place within the core systems behind a firewall. Complexity Increases with Saas Software Deployments One effect of Software as a Service is that it spawns a number of independent components and functionality that requires integration into other data flows. A simplistic design pattern is to create a point to point integration between sy
should I leave my new IT job once there's another opening at my university ? I'm already through my second week of a new part time job I got for $10/hour (not the best and i've gotten paid way more before but better than nothing since im a full time computer science college student). I originally applied for a $15/hour job for another department but came 2nd to being picked because the other guy was a grad student and had a 4-year degree despite my certifications. when being interviewed (wasn't really an interview, he said your hired, your qualifications are great) he admitted they fired the last guy because he had no idea what he was doing and he's the one who designed the network. At first the job seemed great and I was happy just to have one and build experience. The flexibility is unreal I can go in between classes and after, take a day off if I have to study ect. However I'm a trained MCSE and CCNA and I'm trying to build more experience. It's already been 2 weeks and I still have no real definition of what I was hired for. I go into work and half the time I can't find my boss so I sit and do homework or leave if I find out he left(sometimes even at 2pm) and he took a week off once. When I do find him, he constantly has phone calls and e-mail checks so I sit and wait a lot of the time ( I don't blame him since he's only a year new as well and has to do 5 jobs at once). Our only "office"/cubicle is in the IT storage room and I have to step over boxes, piles of papers and PC parts and CD's/software are everywhere and nothing is organized. It looks like an animal got loose in there and when I asked they said it's been like that for years but no one ever organizes stuff and i'm too new to know where anything goes, it'll take months to straighten that stuff out because there's no where for anything to go but the floor it's so packed. Being introduced to that environment raises my stress level since I don't have a desk or anything to work at even. I'm trying to create one though. The network doesn't make sense, we have 3 class B subnets of 255.255.255.252 all static addresses (no dhcp is allowed for a reason I'm not sure of) but there's no inventory or documentation so I don't even know what systems are ours. Apparently we just have between 80-200 machines since no inventory has been done in a while and there's like 30 ip address in those subnets that aren't our machines! My supervisor said there's no organization structure or sense to it, just deal. It's fragmented. I said I don't mind doing an inventory to straighten things out but I don't even know where to begin so I installed and tested Spiceworks for a week(free inventory software) and ran great and told me what was what and how things were mapped ect., they told me to take it off and "we can't have that"! But there is no other alternative since there is no list's or documentation, or any sort of organization. There never was, and I have to start somewhere. There is no help desk so people with problems have to physically hunt us down and find us or shoot e-mails to the right people. There is no help desk, it's just me and two other students. Spiceworks would have at least introduced some organization somewhat. I explained how Spiceworks works to my supervisor and he just nodded and got a phone call and walked away and never asked anything more until I was told today to uninstall it. I never feel like i'm being listened too or heard and my supervisor said the manager above him isn't flexible and says things have to stay the way they are no if's and but's. I'm still new and want to give this a chance and would feel great if I were the one guy to put organization and structure into this network overtime and such but im not even being heard. half the time im not doing anything because I don't know what I should do or where to begin and my boss if i can find him will just say "clone this" or "install this" .
Yoga benefits? I've taken up yoga. It's been about 3 wks, so I'm still a beginner. I love the way it makes my muscles feel. What benefits can I expect down the road? Muscle strength? Definition? Flexibility? And about how long before I see those results? TIA!

how this is work for you? What are the attributes of a creative manager? “Openness, perceptiveness, flexibility, responsiveness, involvement, a capacity and willingness to draw out the creativity in others, a focus on possibilities, the potential of networking and other opportunities rather than procedure,” says Jane Henry, editor of Creative Management and Development ( www.sagepublications.com). Facilitation and communication skills help, and so does a participative and inclusive style of management, she adds. Henry heads the Centre for Human Resources and Change Management at the Open University School of Management in Milton Keynes, UK. A chartered psychologist with extensive consultancy experience, she is also the author of several books. Her research looks at ways in which organisations can develop their creativity and innovation and how individuals with different styles can best enhance their development over time. “Creative management is more about open perception than a route map, an attitude that is flexible enough to listen to others and respond intuitively to opportunities, secure enough to allow their staff freedom to find their own way. The right way of doing this will vary according to culture and circumstances,” explains Henry during a recent e-mail interaction with The New Manager. Excerpts from the interview: First, what is creative management? Creative management is a form of management associated with sustainable self-organisation. It is common in organisations wishing to engage the creativity of their workforce in improving products, processes and services, enhancing workforce commitment and customer/client/ staff satisfaction. Can creativity be developed in organisations? Are there clear measures of creativity that can be used, for example, in a corporate context? Creativity can be developed in organisations at the level of the individual, team, organisation and cross-organisation networks. Many people use tests of divergent thinking, i.e. how many uses can one think of for a plastic cup, as a measure of creativity. This is a very poor measure of creativity and not very helpful in organisations. Another approach measures people’s cognitive style differentiating between different ways of being creative — those who like to do things better and those who like to do things differently. Those with an adaptive preference are more likely to be more comfortable working within existing frames and improving existing products. Those with an innovative preference are naturally more inclined to challenge the status quo and aim for breakthroughs. Other measures of organisational creativity that have been used include the number of suggestions per employee and level of absenteeism, with the former increasing and the latter decreasing in creative companies. Have there been breakthrough findings in recent years about creative management? This depends on your perspective and location. In the West, creativity had been associated with innovative breakthroughs — inventing processes from scratch and glorified through individuals such as Einstein, Edison, Anita Roddick or Richard Branson. One of the changes in the West over the last quarter century is that organisations have come to appreciate the importance of engaging the entire workforce in improving processes and made clear attempts to empower the workforce to do so. Is increased competition the only driver for creative management? Definitely not; many creative people are motivated intrinsically, i.e. with a marked preference for working on areas of interest to them. Freedom as to how people engage with tasks is often a sufficient driver for people to develop a more creative approach. Humans are naturally very creative so long as they feel safe enough and engaged enough to bother to try out new ways of doing things. Organisational bureaucracy can sometimes get in the way of these natural instincts. What is the role of tacit knowledge in organisational creativity? Tacit knowledge is central to creativity, organisational or otherwise. Cognitive science has shown clearly that we know things long before we realise we do or are able to explain how we know. Creative ideas generally emerge tacitly, when people are relaxed. Organisations where people feel a measure of freedom, rather than those that are committee-bound and where people feel obliged to look busy, are more likely to be safe enough for people to feel able to explore the half-baked tacit notions that develop into new creative ideas with a bit of nurturing. Many processes that attempt to encourage creativity in groups use processes that aim to tap into tacit ideas. Are there lifestyle features that are associated with creativity? The socially-embedded do indeed generally report themselves as happier than the more isolated amongst us. There is some work to suggest that those in a positive mood find it easier to make more associations and that these broad associations make it easier for them to be more creative. The creatively-fulfilled tend also to be happier, not the least as their work offers meaning and often purpose. Does creativity run the risk of turning into ‘spin’ or manipulated messages one finds so commonly used by politicians to their advantage? Creativity is an essential component of human advancement through the ages. Currently it has extra kudos in the UK for example, as politicians wonder if other organisational sectors can build on the success of the creative industries (pop music, fashion, design and so on). ‘Cool Britannia’ seems to be a successful spin building on aspects of creative life in the UK. Many high-wage economies see creativity as a means of adding value in the face of increasing competition. In more hierarchical cultures there is often an appreciation that organisations might be more creative if the culture could be somewhat more open. Is creativity linked to income and wealth levels? How far is creativity relevant to developing economies, as compared to the developed countries? Do you think creative solutions can be applied for bigger problems that prevail in the developing countries? Creativity can be applied at any level from very large to very small issues and in any country. As I write, scientists all over the world are advancing new technologies to help alleviate climate change and micro-credit unions finance mini-creative ventures for very poor would-be entrepreneurs. In my work in India, Malaysia and China I have found managers as open to the idea that they need ways of opening up and pushing more responsibility down as in the West, though the form this may take can differ. I also use similar approaches advising and facilitating government officials and NGOs attempting to address large-scale issues such as corruption, for example, and when helping companies make technological breakthroughs. The key here is to free up thinking to help people reach new and better way of doing things. Are there negative states of creativity? What are the differences between creativity of nature and nurtured creativity? Should education be so geared to ensure the development of creativity? Creativity is generally defined as something that is new and apt, so inherent in the definition is the notion that the creative idea or product is not any old worthless invention but something that offers quality and answers a need. At the same time, it is no accident that Shiva is the God of creativity and destruction embodied, as one usually has to destroy something to create something new. There are win-win situations where all parties benefit from a new idea, approach or agreement; but often bringing in the new advantages may involve extra work or disadvantaging others. Shifts to greater creativity in organisations, for example, often entail middle managers giving up some of their power. Many organisations have found about 10 per cent of their managers are unable to adapt to the new ways of working. Can there be a tussle between staying the course with a sustainable idea and trying out a creative idea, as for example with product launches? Can dynamism in creativity lead to negative returns at times? Generally, to make way for something new something else has to be destroyed. We see this with new products and processes all the time; the ice selling industry lost out when home refrigerators came in, film gives way to video, analogue to digital TV. There is generally a conservative tendency in organisations and a preference for sticking with the status quo. Any creative endeavour is going to involve something new; it takes persistence and often a champion or sponsor to steer new ideas through an organisation. Historically, companies that stick with what they are good at without creatively adapting to circumstances tend to fare badly in the long-term. Socialisation, externalisation, internalisation and combination — which of these knowledge conversion modes has the highest impact on creativity? There are many different ways of being creative and different people favour different routes. For example, different people may use very different processes to get to the same creative idea, some people are more comfortable with analytical techniques like checklists and matrices, other warm to the fun involved in lateral thinking like imagining how your hero/heroine (whether Gandhi, Superman or Tata) would tackle the issue, others prefer more intuitive approaches such as visualisation. Socialisation, externalisation, internalisation and combination modes of knowledge creation can all have their place at different stages of the creative process. Does luck play a role in creativity, especially in the commercial success of the product? Luck plays a role in many situations including creative ones. However, experience and good judgment are also critical. Generally, in organisations, good timing owes as much to the latter two as the former. On creativity versus type of work, genders, age, and technology. There is scope for creative action in professional, craft, farm and organisational work. The degree of creativity that is appropriate varies according to the situation. Research scientists have a lot of scope for being creative. In contrast most of us are happy that an aeroplane pilot sticks to some standard procedures for checking that the plane is in a good condition to fly. Both sexes are creative. All ages can be creative though the peak age for important breakthrough varies by domain; in mathematics many breakthroughs are made by the rather young, many writers on the other hand have creative success late in life. The creative process also varies by sector. Many artists and poets choose to work alone, whereas many innovative technological breakthroughs involve a group of people with different skills combining their talents. The opportunity for creative action is satisfying to the people involved as they are able to contribute something meaningful. Satisfaction is related to a number of factors including temperament and the degree to which one is socially supported. A key factor is control. On the whole, people who have more control of their lives, including their work, tend to report themselves as being more satisfied than those with less control. Temperament also plays a big part in satisfaction. In the West, extroversion is associated with greater happiness. It would be interesting to see if in a culture such as India, where surrender is more readily accepted as a route to happiness, a different pattern emerged.
